Williamson strikes out 13, AquaSox roll past Canadians

Brandon Williamson throws 7.1 innings and Everett Cruises to a 9-1 win over Vancouver.

HILLSBORO, Ore. – Brandon Williamson knocked out 13 batters, Zach DeLoach scored and guest Everett AquaSox beat the Vancouver Canadians 9-1 on Saturday night.

Williamson, a 2019 Seattle Mariners draft pick, allowed only one run and two hits in 7.1 innings. The 6-foot-6 left-handed knocked out 13 of the 25 batters he faced and only gave up one step.

The AquaSox (15-8) had a big lead early on with two runs in the first inning and five more runs in the second. In the fourth game they extended their lead to 9: 1.

DeLoach, a second round hit in last year’s draft, went 2-3 with a solo home run and an RBI double. Joseph Rosa was 2-4 with two RBIs and Patrick Frick drove three runs for Everett. Every batsman in the AquaSox line-up had at least one hit.

Vancouver (14-9) scored only three goals.

Everett has won three out of five games in the series. The series finale is Sunday afternoon.
