Spokane County Library District: Help Children Be Successful: Apply to volunteer for the Fall Study Buddy Program

Looking for volunteer hours? You can help a child improve their reading and numeracy skills. We are looking for young people and adults who would like to volunteer as tutors for our homework help program after school, the so-called Study Buddy Program. As a tutor, you help elementary school students with reading and arithmetic. The autumn session begins in September 2021. The program takes place on weekdays between 3:30 pm and 5:00 pm and is planned as an online program in autumn. Volunteers work directly with elementary school students in reading and math. Volunteer Requirements Must be 16 years or older
Give consent to a background check
Parents must agree to attendance and a background check for applicants under the age of 18
Take part in a training course
Commit to at least 2 hours per week for an 8 week session
Apply online via our application portal for volunteers. Online Training The training will take place online via an interactive meeting platform and is scheduled for Friday, July 30th, 10 am to 11 am.
