Bedford, Everett spikers win on the road | Local

ALTOONA – Bedford came up with a surprise when he defeated previously undefeated Bishop Guilfoyle (25-15, 25-20, 24-26, 23-25, 17-15) on Monday.

“Emma Harclerode and Natalie Lippincott eclipsed 500 careers with their efforts on Monday night,” said Bedford manager John Porta.

Natalie Lippincott had 23 kills and 10 digs while Bailey Stahlman had 18 kills and six blocks. Laney Lafferty had 25 assists while Riley Ruffley added 22 assists. Emma Harclerode had 23 digs.

Bedford was in Central on Tuesday while the Lady Bisons are in Greater Johnstown on Wednesday.

WINDBER – Everett swept past District 5 opponents Windber with a 25-11, 25-13, 25-12 win on Monday.

Liah Ramsey had four aces, Ashlyn Hicks had 13 assists, Lainie Treece had 13 kills, and Brooklyn Beegle had 10 digs to lead the Lady Warriors.

Everett hosted Claysburg on Tuesday and is in Bedford on Monday.

LOYSBURG – After losing their first two games, Northern Bedford fought their way back to overturn Southern Fulton 3-2 on Tuesday.

“I’m so proud of the girls that they’ll win together tonight,” said NBC trainer Shalonne Sipes. “They never gave up and I saw in them the ‘spark’ that we’ve been missing for a few games.

“Having Addie (Sipes) back on the line-up really helped us get our offensive going and Dani (Imler) and Lainie (Sipes) played one of their best games so far. Lydia (Byler) picks up where she left off before her injury, and Lacy (McIlnay) becomes a team leader in her sophomore year.

“I can’t say enough about everyone’s determination and hectic tonight. It was a great win to start another week on a tough schedule. “

Imler led the locals with 10 service points. Addie Sipes scored eight kills, four aces and seven assists. Imler added five aces, six kills, four blocks.

NBC, 6-6, will receive Claysburg-Kimmel on Wednesday.
