College data and ratings site Niche analyzed data and student ratings to determine which campuses are safest.

Natalie Tsay of the website told Newsweek, “Year after year we see campus safety being a high priority for prospective students – and maybe even more so for their parents.

“Our ranking of the safest college campuses is designed to highlight colleges that have little to no campus crime, drug or alcohol use.

“We consider factors such as criminal incidents on campus and in the surrounding area, responses to student surveys, and rates for violence and arrests.”
