SHELBYVILLE – Shirley Ann Everett, 87, of Shelbyville, IL, died on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 at 8:10 pm at the Shelbyville Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, Shelbyville, IL.

The funeral will take place on Monday, October 18, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Howe and Yockey Funeral Home, Shelbyville, IL; officiate with Pastor Bob Turner. The visit takes place on Monday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. He is buried in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL. Monuments can be donated to the Trek and Laney Turner College Fund.

Shirley was born on May 6, 1934 in Lakewood, IL to Guy Jasper and Nita (Leach) Cutler. She attended Shelbyville High School. Shirley married James Loren Everett on May 27, 1952. Shirley worked for General Electric in Mattoon, IL until she retired. She loved to cook, clean her house, and work in her garden.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Jim; Daughter Deborah Kay Turner and husband Bob from Shelbyville, IL; Sister Patsy Trelz from Sparta, TN; two grandchildren: Scott Turner and wife Alisha from Franklin, IN, and Lacy Ann Nihiser and husband Jeremy from Dundee, FL; and two great-grandchildren: Trek and Laney Turner.

Her parents preceded her in death; two brothers: Bunny and Clayson Cutler; and eight sisters: Waynoka Hott, Marie Cutler, Imogene Barger, Pauline Phelps, Guyula Jones, Beverly Kingston, Wilna Moore and Melba Mathias.
