Office Moms & Dads joins the board as the new president
VANCOUVER, WASHINGTON, U.S., June 8, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ – Paris Powell Melton (CPA, ABV, CFF, Shareholder, Perkins) spent seven years building the Office Moms & Dads nonprofit in a variety of integral leadership roles helped & Co) resigned from the board of directors, where she was president, with effect from June 1st.

Our initial budgets were very tight, but Sarah stretched it and we all rolled up our sleeves to get this grassroots organization off the ground, ”says Paris Powell Melton.
The board of directors has named Megan Dixon, business manager at Integrated Tax Services, as the new chief executive officer. Prior to this leadership role, Dixon served as a board member, member of the development committee and as a nonprofit development advisor.
A graduate of Washington State University Vancouver, Dixon has spent the past 15 years serving communities in the Pacific Northwest. I spent many of those years serving as a fellow and development consultant for local nonprofits specializing in capital campaigns and strategic growth initiatives. Dixon is highly recommended by other organizations.

In her current position as Business Manager at Integrated Tax Services, Dixon is focused on providing individuals, businesses and nonprofits with exceptional tax and accounting work, helping clients meet their financial goals and better manage their money. She lives in Vancouver with her husband Andy and two children.

Founded in Vancouver in 2013, Office Moms & Dads (OMD) is a community of more than 400 skilled volunteers who work with nearly 30 youth welfare agencies in Washington and Idaho to provide caring environments for children who are being fostered.
OMD mobilizes community volunteers who are on site in the youth welfare offices to comfort and care for children who have just been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect and are waiting to be brought into suitable care. Volunteers keep children busy and protected while social workers work behind the scenes to arrange their long-term care, often having conversations that are not suitable for children’s ears. Office Moms & Dads volunteers fill small bellies that may not have eaten for a while, bring handkerchiefs where there are tears, and put stuffed animals in the arms of children who have been stripped of everything.
