People: Nate Moore of Battle Mountain receives the highest honor from Con Edison

Nate Moore, operations and maintenance manager at Con Edison-operated solar and energy storage field Battle Mountain, recently received the company’s top award, Con Edison’s Living Our Values ​​Award.

The award honors employees who embody the company’s values ​​such as customer service, operational excellence, integrity and commitment to safety, according to a press release on October 13th.

Moore is based in Northern Nevada and works for Con Edison Development, one of Con Edison’s clean energy businesses.

“If we want our environment to stay safe and clean, we have to take care of it,” Moore said in a statement. “I enjoy my job because I work for a company that is committed to sustainability and the fight against climate change. Our solar and wind parks produce emission-free, renewable energy that people use to run their homes and businesses. “

According to the company, the Battle Mountain operation’s solar panels generate 101 megawatts of electricity. Battle Mountain also includes battery modules that can store up to 25 megawatts.

Moore spent most of his childhood in St. Anthony, Idaho, and served seven years in the US Army, where he was promoted to private.

He holds a degree in wind turbine engineering from the Northwest Renewal Energy Institute in Vancouver, Washington. He and his wife Breanna Moore have a daughter and two sons. They live in Battle Mountain.
