Everett Wayne Jolley – The Gaffney Ledger

Everett Wayne Jolley, 77, a resident of Idabel, OK, went to sleep, in death, on February 14, 2022 in Frisco, TX, holding hands with his loving family, following a lengthy illness.

Wayne was born on October 17, 1944 in Gaffney, SC. He attended Limestone College, in Gaffney, SC and was a US Navy veteran. He married Donna Lee Carson, July 12, 1968, in Lincoln, RI. Wayne loved to fish, loved animals and nature, and especially loved bird watching, gardening and nurturing plants. He was an accomplished artist and a master carpenter. He became an ordained minister of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1970. He had a hope that he loved to share with family and friends. The hope of a new heavens and a new earth as mentioned in 2 Peter 3:13.

Wayne is survived by his beloved wife Donna Carson Jolley, his daughter, Debora L. Jolley, his son, Jon T. Jolley, his granddaughter, Heather D. Littles, all of Idabel, OK, three brothers and their spouses, Ronald S. (Linda) Jolley, Commander, US Navy Retired, of Norfolk Virginia, Gary B. (Peggy) Jolley, of Gaffney, SC and Zeb Vance (June) Jolley, of Canton, NC and 12 cherished first cousins ​​with whom he grew up in rural SC.

He is preceded in death by his parents, EQ Jolley and Vivian Martin Jolley of Gaffney, SC and beloved first cousin Margaret Jane Martin Norris of Knoxville, TN.

Wayne’s memorial will be officiated by Tomas Gonzalez. An online memorial service will take place Saturday, February, 26th at 3PM. The family will share the online information when available, or you can contact Nunley’s Funeral Home of Idabel, OK.
