Ducks Take Four Singles Wins on Day Two in Seattle

SEATTLE – Oregon started the day with four wins in seven singles games against Washington and won two games in three sets while winning the other two in straight sets to highlight day two of the Husky Invitational Saturday.

How it happened: After Washington quickly put away two individual wins, Uxia Martinez Moral dominated her individual match with a 6-1, 6-3 win before Ares Teixido Garcia won her match in two close sets 7-6 (5), 6-4.

Freshman Sophie Luescher went to three sets and won 7-5, 1-6, 6-2 to give the Ducks three single-game wins before Myah Petchey came back after losing her opening set and 5-7, 6-4 won. 6-3.
