The world-famous piano virtuoso Orli Shaham performs at VSO’s first hybrid gala

After one of the most dramatic, artistically demanding, and critically acclaimed seasons in its history, the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra kicks off its 43rd season with the highly anticipated Hybrid Gala.

VSO Music Director, Maestro Salvador Brotons, and the orchestra’s board of directors will welcome personal guests to the beautiful Discovery Ballroom at the Hilton hotel in historic downtown Vancouver, Washington. The entire event will also be broadcast live on the VSO website.

The internationally acclaimed pianist Orli Shaham will return as a guest of honor at the gala by popular demand. Shaham will team up with the VSO concertmaster and main cast in live performances of music by Mozart, Dvorak, Chopin and others.

The gala celebrations begin at 12:00 PM PDT with a virtual music celebration featuring earlier performances from the VSO archives. During this free event, available on the VSO website, guests can bid on auction items, donate, and support the VSO while enjoying some of the best orchestral performances ever.

The 2021 auction features five unique VIP experiences, including tickets and VIP behind-the-scenes access to the Metropolitan Opera, Los Angeles Philharmonic and Seattle Symphony, as well as fantastic trips to New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, Barcelona and Hawaii. Any proceeds raised at the gala will support the VSO’s artistic program and advance the Symphony’s educational initiatives.

Tickets are available now at vancouversymphony.org/gala-2021/ or by calling the VSO office at 360-735-7278.
