Teenager shot, killed in Seattle’s Rainier Beach area

SEATTLE – A 16-year-old was shot and killed late Friday after opening the door of a house in Seattle’s Rainier Beach neighborhood, according to police.

Filming took place shortly before 11 p.m. on the 9200 Block of Waters Avenue South near Chinook Beach Park.

Seattle Police Chief Adrian Diaz said the suspect escaped the area and was not found. A description of the suspect was not immediately available.

Homicide investigators were seen searching the neighborhood for clues late into the night.

The police are now asking everyone in the community for information about what happened.

“This is the second teenager who was shot dead last month. We are just trying to find ways to stop this violence,” said Diaz. “These shootings have to stop.”
