Spokane Society brings Shakespeare to Riverfront Park

To celebrate its inaugural season, the Spokane Shakespeare Society is partnering with Spokane Parks & Recreation to present two plays at Riverfront Park this summer. Both productions will be free and family friendly.

The season kicks off with William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream, directed by Amanda Cantrell and Jamie Suter. The show will take place from 6th to 8th, 20th, 22nd, 26th and 27th. and August 29th.

In September, Jessica Loomer will direct The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) directed by Adam Long, Daniel Singer and Jess Winfield. The show will run from September 17th to 18th and September 23rd to 25th, with the option to add dates in October.

The shows start on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 6:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2:00 p.m., with seating starting 30 minutes before the curtain. Seats are first come, first served.
