Spokane County’s COVID-19 cases continue to rise

The number of COVID-19 cases in the northwest of the country continues to increase.

The county recorded 64 new cases of the virus on Thursday, while case numbers in recent weeks have been in their 30s.

The increase in confirmed cases occurs because new vaccinations have decreased significantly.

In Spokane County, 54.2% of Eligible County’s residents have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Fewer than half of the total population, including those who are not eligible for the vaccine, have received at least one vaccination.

In Spokane, 33 people have been hospitalized with the virus.

The Panhandle Health District confirmed 58 new cases and no other deaths.

There are 23 Panhandle residents who have been hospitalized with the virus.
