Seattle Overload, Episode 8: First Half Recap of Seattle Seahawks’ Defense

In the first five weeks of the 2021 season, the Seahawks defense found itself at a historically slow pace for the second year in a row. But from weeks 6 to 8 it kept the opponents averaging 14.3 points and 319.3 yards per game, aided by an almost unified performance in a 31-7 win over the Jaguars.

While the team is enjoying its farewell week right now, Seahawk Maven’s Matty F. Brown and Griffin Sturgeon discuss what they saw of the defense and how sustainable that turnaround could be in the latest episode of Seattle Overload.
