Rollover Shuts Down Everett Turnpike: NH State Police Roundup

CONCORD, NH — An onramp on the Everett Turnpike was closed to traffic earlier this month after a tractor-trailer rollover.

Around 4 pm on Oct. 12, New Hampshire State Police were sent to a report of a crash on the southbound side of the highway. When they arrived, they found a 2010 Mack Dump Truck, operated by Dana Reed, 59, of Merrimack, had entered the ramp from Exit 5 when a trailer and a caterpillar excavator he was towing rolled onto its side.

“Crews from the New Hampshire Department of Transportation were forced to make repairs to the roadway resulting from the impact of the equipment,” Amber Lagace, a public information officer for the department, said. “The ramp remained shut down for approximately three hours while crews worked to upright the equipment and make repairs to the roadway.”
