Washington Football Team Safety Deshazor Everett was driver of a fatal car accident that killed a passenger on Thursday. Olivia Peters, a 29-year-old from Las Vegas, died from her injuries.

According to ESPN, Everett should be recovering.

Everett’s 2010 Nissan GT-R left the right side of the lane, hit several trees, and rolled over, according to a report from the sheriff’s office.

Everett is being treated for injuries deemed to be serious but not life threatening. The accident, in which debris was a few hundred meters from where the car first went off the road, is still under investigation.

Two rookies Benjamin St. Juste and Jamin Davis were in a vehicle behind Everett when he collided. The players stayed at the scene of the accident to speak to the police.

Please include Everett and Olivia’s family in your prayers at this time.
