Martin Freeman Confirms Return As Everett K Ross In ‘Black Panther 2’
Martin Freeman announced that he will return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as Everett K Ross in Ryan Coogler’s Black Panther sequel.
Black Panther 2 is progressing without Chadwick Boseman after the star’s tragic death last year. Ryan Coogler is currently working hard on the script and development of a Wakanda spin-off series for Disney Plus. The first Black Panther film featured one of the strongest ensembles in a Marvel film that included Martin Freeman as Everett K Ross.
During a conversation with Collider, Martin Freeman confirmed that he will return as Everett K Ross in Black Panther 2, but admitted that he still has no idea what the story will be like:
“Yes, I’m doing the second Black Panther. I’ll be talking to Ryan Coogler soon about what the shape will look like. I have no idea about the script [so] I don’t know what’s going to happen. “
Martin Freeman also touched on the death of Chadwick Boseman and how T’challa’s next Black Panther film will continue:
“Just before Chadwick died, if my memory worked properly, the script was in. They had the script and they worked on the script, and then Chadwick and died [I] I immediately thought, “Oh, okay, I could see a world where there would be no Black Panther, because how can you make a Black Panther without a Black Panther?” So I still don’t know what this will look like. And no, obviously the idea of doing it without him would have been a stupid idea before Chad died. It would have been crazy. It was very shocking and still very, very strange that he is not here. I’m as curious as you are what this will look like, and I’ll find out pretty soon. I just know that I’m there. “
