Lowell Everett Jones, 80, of Rossville, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 28th, 2021.

Lowell was born in Dayton, TN and graduated from Grand Rapids, Michigan high school in 1960. His love for the Chattanooga area brought him back home. He was an active member of the Shiloh Baptist Church in Rossville and retired after 50 years of service with Combustion / Alstom. Lowell was an excellent and dedicated gardener who often visited and tended his large Dayton garden. He was proud of his Family, house and vehicles. Lowell kept his vehicles spotless and his yard tidy. He cared with all his heart, mind and soul for the safety, happiness and well-being of his loved ones. Lowell will be remembered mostered for his icon Sentence: “I love you, I pray for you, Be careful, put on your seat belt.

Lowell preceded his parents Buster and Betty Jones in death.

Survivors include his 31-year-old wife, Barbara Jones; Children: Beverly Cotter, Cathy Jones and Traci Sharp; Stepchildren: Mike (Diana) Jarvis, Mechelle (Matthew) Khodayari, Mitchell (Julie) Jarvis and Mark Jarvis; eleven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren, Kyler and Lincoln; Siblings, Larry (Liz) Jones and Doris (Mark) Dufresne; several nieces and nephews; and cousins, Jerry and Ben Green.

The funeral will take place on Wednesday, August 4th, at 1 o’clock officiate at South Crest Chapel with Pastors Derrell and Paul O’Neal. The burial takes place in Lakewood Memory Gardens, South.
