In loving memory of Norma V. Sommervold: 1932-2021

Norma V. Sommervold died peacefully on November 16, 2021 in Vancouver, Washington, after leading a full and happy life. She was born on August 6, 1932 in Elk Point, South Dakota.

She always looked positive and always let her beliefs guide her. She enjoyed helping others, which really nourished her soul. When she knew someone needed help, she was always the first to come. She loved spending time with her family.

She leaves behind her children Marcia (Dave), Kevin (Diane) and Vicky (Ned). In 2019 their son Alan (Gayle) passed away. She too was blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Even though she had five brothers and sisters, they all passed before her. Her best friend, Myra Wilkinson, was like family to her. She was Norma’s special sister friend. Thank you Myra for being such a special friend to our mother. Many thanks to the PeaceHealth Hospice and the Brighter Days Adult Family Home for taking wonderful care of our mother.

Anyone wishing to donate should contact PeaceHealth Hospice, PeaceHealth Southwest Washington Foundation, LB # 1094, PO Box 35146, Seattle, WA 98124. A private family service was held at Bethel Lutheran Church in Brush Prairie on December 11, 2021, Washington.
