Spokane is the city of drive-thru coffee stands.

There seems to be one on every corner, like Starbuck in Seattle. It’s really the funniest thing. But it makes sense. It gets cold here. No one wants to walk inside a coffee shop in the dead of winter.

And while we are getting ready for summer, I imagine you might be preparing for being out on the town more this summer. This is especially true if this will be the year of the stay-cation due to gas prices.

So, here are three of the best places with many locations around town!

Jacob’s Java (6 Locations)

They boast of being Spokane’s first drive-thru coffee stand. I’m not sure if that is correct, although it is stated on their website. Since 1992, they’ve been delivering handcrafted coffee to customers in their cars, which may be 100% accurate. After all, I’m trying to recall my family’s visits to Spokane in high school and middle school, and I only remember my father stopping at a Jacob’s Java.

Wake Up Call Coffee (10 Locations)

You’ve probably seen a Wake Up Call Coffee Shop if you live in Spokane. The red phone booth and modern-looking black and brick buildings are located on some of Spokane’s busiest roadways. There is always a line of people waiting to receive a cup of coffee or a sweet treat.

White Dog Coffee (2 Locations)

This coffee shop has been open since 2015, and its tale is displayed on the counter. Reading about them, their passion for coffee, and why they stand helps pass the time while waiting. So I’ll leave you hanging, and you’ll have to come back and read it.

Final Thoughts: 18 Locations

That is a lot of places to stop in to get a latte or cup of coffee. However, each of these places is locally owned and proud to serve the Spokane County community. So, stop on to any of them today!
