Eric Patrick Danielson passed away on May 7, 2022, in Vancouver, Washington. He was born in Camden, New Jersey on February 20, 1953, the son of Ralph and Marguerite Danielson. He was the twin brother of Ronald D Danielson of Longview, Washington.

Eric quit school and joined the United States Army in January 1971. After training at Fort Lee, Virginia, he shipped out to Vietnam, where he was stationed at the plantation compound just north of Long Binh. As a Specialist 4 (military specialty of unit supply/armorer) he worked for USARV driving a truck and making deliveries at EM Clubs in the area of ​​Bien How and Long Binh. He came home in June 1972 and was stationed at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas, and later at Goose Bay, Alaska.

After the service, Eric attended Bellevue Community College in Washington State, where he completed his Associate’s in Arts degree and took up writing. He published several novels, including Murder in Monterey and 1700.

He is survived by his twin brother, Ron (Patty) Danielson of Longview, Washington; brother Ralph (Marilyn) Danielson of West Valley City; sisters Kristin (Garl) Fink of Murray and Joy Danielson of Burien, Washington.

A funeral Mass was celebrated at Saint Vincent de Paul Catholic Church on May 19, 2022. Interment at Mount Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Salt Lake City.
