As reported by CBS 42, the elderly Chile admitted to embezzling $ 1.2 million from clients of her company Inspire Vision Property Management, a commercial property management company. Chiles spent hundreds of thousands of dollars of the stolen money on personal expenses.

According to court records, Chiles had “stolen so much that they could no longer cover the resulting deficits by moving customers’ money.” One customer, Karla Pearlstein, is said to have lost $ 945,000.

Gina was originally supposed to serve her time on the same day that Jordan and Team USA would compete in the team finals. However, as reported by People, her lawyers filed a motion on July 13th asking the court to allow her to surrender on August 26th.

The reason: It would give Jordan “some extra time to have her mother’s emotional support and guidance during such a monumental time in her young life.” The Tokyo Olympics run through August 8th.

In response, a federal judge reportedly approved a 30-day delay in starting Gina’s sentence on Wednesday. The prosecution in the case did not object to the application, according to court documents.

3. She moved to Texas to be with her daughter while training with Simone Biles

At some point Jordan got tired of gymnastics and wanted to quit. Finally she reconsidered and decided that she wanted to win Olympic gold. Nevertheless, the gymnast had to change something. So in 2019 she asked her parents if she could move to Texas to train with Biles.

“She never asks about anything related to gymnastics,” Gina said of Clark County Today. “She asked that. “If you are 100 percent sure, we will do everything we can to support this.” … Here I am, in Texas. “

Although Jordan’s father, Timothy, stayed at home in Vancouver, Gina eventually moved to the Lone Star state with her daughter. However, the couple received regular visits from the Chilean patriarch.

“We try not to drive for more than three weeks. I love this man. He loves me. It’s difficult, but it’s worth it, ”said Gina. “Jordan is the baby of five children. Our children are grown up, they are older and they are living their lives. You support Jordan 100 percent. “

4. Chiles wrote a children’s book inspired by their daughter

During the time Jordan was unsure about her gymnastics future, Gina was inspired to write a children’s book about her struggle. So “Dream Big Little Chick” was born. The main character was named because of Jordan’s nickname “Chick”.

“I made up a story when Jordan wasn’t doing gymnastics, it was just a tough time,” Gina told KOIN. “So I wanted to build it on your journey and your story.”

In the book, Little Chick dreams of making it to the Animal Olympics, according to the Amazon synopsis of the book. However, her friends make fun of her for sharing these dreams with them. From there, the book tells the story of Chick’s family who stand behind her as she learns to dream big.

“That was something she always wanted to do and it’s very amazing to see it in person and achieve something that was her dream,” Jordan said at the time.
