Gerald Everett 2021 Outlook: Opportunities Could Increase With Seahawks

3 hours agoIn one of their moves to further strengthen the passing game, the Seahawks signed former Rams tight-end Gerald Everett to a one-year contract in the off-season. Seattle has been playing up and down for the past few seasons, and the Seahawks are likely hoping he can contribute more than four seasons at the Rams. Everett set new career highs at Receptions (41) and Yardage (417) last year, but he has never been considered a fantasy asset in the past. Playing in a crowded group of pass catchers where he wasn’t the clear top target at TE certainly added to that prospect, as did working with Jared Goff. With the Seahawks, he should have increased chances of making a contribution. Russell Wilson spreads the ball effectively and will certainly look out for the close end on important passes and near the goal line. Everett should be comfortable on a retrofitted Seahawks offensive as well, with former Rams QB coach Shane Waldron being the new offensive coordinator. Everett has an ADP of 153.6 so he’s on the Fantasy TE2 radar this season for getting a QB upgrade and possibly a clearer role as top-pass-catch-tight-end with his new team.–Scott Engel – RotoBaller
