Craig Burpee Obituary (1945 – 2022) – Everett, WA

Craig Lee Burpee was born on July 3, 1945 and passed away on April 12, 2022 surrounded by his loved ones. Craig was an avid golfer, an adept swimmer, water skier and a master gardener. He took great care of his family and was a friend to all.

Craig graduated from Everett High School and joined the Marine Reserves. After serving, he returned to Everett and met his wife of 53 years, Candi. He went to college and then began his career at the PUD, where he worked for 44 years before retiring in 2014. Craig loved Husky football, the Fourth of July, historical novels and walking around his neighborhood with his dogs. He often volunteered as a YMCA swim instructor for people with disabilities.

Craig is survived by his devoted wife; candi; his two daughters: Denise (Andy) and Nicole (Seung-Ki); four grandchildren; Ethan, Benjamin, Quinn and Violet. He leaves behind his two siblings: Dennis Burpee (Pam) and Jill Hammond, brother-in-law, Malcolm MacDonald and nephews and nieces. Craig is preceded in death by his mother: Glenna Burpee, brother: Glenn Burpee; in-laws: Grace and Angus MacDonald; nephew, Blake Burpee; and brother-in-law Michael Hammond.
