9.00 – Tonight, the “Alter Ego” semifinals will come to an end. The remaining four singers and their tailor-made alter egos have one more opportunity to impress the jury and studio audience for the two remaining spots in the final. Who is one step closer to the grand prize of $ 100,000 and the chance to be mentored by the Superstar Jury?

9:08 pm – The first singer of the evening is seven. Tonight they are trying to get their A game and Seven has trained harder than ever. To sing Michael BubléSeven’s version of “Feeling Good” takes full advantage of this beautiful lower layer. I think the fact that this avatar is actually a man voiced by a woman works against her. A woman with this unique tone is what makes the singer so fascinating. Nick says that Seven is attracting attention. The judges agree, Seven deserves to be at the head of the diamond … for now.

9:17 pm – Next up safari. She has an emotional exchange with the judges about her insecurities before she takes the stage. Safara slowly grows to love yourself and gain confidence. “Stronger (what doesn’t kill you)” from singing Kelly Clarkson, Safara brings her message to the masses. She starts out a little nervous, but as soon as Safara hits the chorus, she’s really fine. I like the energy she brings in, and the jury also seems to be having fun and responds with standing ovations. will.i.am thought it was “fire” and complements the power in her voice. Safara doesn’t get the three votes she needs to replace Seven on the diamond, but it’s not over for her yet! We’ll find out if Safara makes it to the finals later in tonight’s episode.

9:28 pm – The third cast member tonight is Dipper Scott. He’s excited about the prospect of becoming a digital superstar as he has Crohn’s disease. He could potentially have a show in Japan while actually performing from California. He says he would also like to pay lots of medical bills if he wins the grand prize. Singing “Happer by Bastille & Marshmello, Dipper captivates the panel almost immediately. He’s someone who sounds like he might be on the radio right now and I think they appreciate that. He’s just a damn good singer too. The judges struggle with their decision, but ultimately vote for Dipper to replace Seven on the diamond.

9:40 pm – Last is until tonight Orlando Deville. He yells at the designers who helped him improve his look and wears a sleek orange suit while he’s “Living in New York City” by. crashes Robin Thicke. This is a very fun performance and he has more dance moves than anyone. It really highlights his soulful singing and is fun to watch. Nick calls it “charming” and Alanis says Orlando’s boast is “mature”. Despite Orlando’s strong performance, the judges decide to leave Dipper on the diamond. That means that Dipper Scott is officially going to the finals!

9:50 pm – Three alter egos remain in the running for a place in the final. The studio audience will now vote. The singer with the fewest votes is automatically eliminated. That alter ego is Safara. Before she leaves, Safara sings “Say Something” from A big big world & Christina Aguilera. Halfway through, she is accompanied by her real identity, Mariah Rosario, a 26-year-old from Phoenix, Arizona. It is an emotional moment that will bring another tear to will.i.am’s eyes. Mariah has learned to be confident and love herself no matter what someone says about her. Alanis looks forward to Mariah and starts crying as she wishes the budding singer the best.

9:59 pm – Now it’s time for the jury to choose between Seven or Orlando Deville. Only one can join Dipper Scott in the final of this semi-final. The jury unanimously voted to send Seven to the final. Before Orlando says goodbye, he sings “Hold On, I’m Comin ‘” by Sam & Dave. The energetic alter ego is quickly joined by its enthusiastic true identity, Chase Padgett, a 38-year-old from Vancouver, Washington. Chase says he’s always been told he has a voice for the stage but a face for IT. He enjoyed his time as the Orlando Deville, but Chase will be taking it from now on! That’s the end of this semifinal. Next week Dipper Scott, Seven, Misty Rose or Night Journey will be crowned winners.
