William J. Everett | Zz-dnp

William J. Everett, 74, of Wilkes-Barre, died at home on Wednesday March 3, 2021.

He was born in Wilkes-Barre to the late Chester and Anna Davis Everett.

He graduated from Coughlin High School in 1965 and then served in the United States Army.

He retired from the construction industry as a bricklayer and worked for many companies. He was in Union Local 5 for 56 years.

Bill loved being a hunter in the woods, but actually he just loved walking around! He loved his time with the grandchildren and was called Pop Pop.

Bill is survived by his wife of 55 years, Charlene Vanchure Everett; his daughter, Colleen Flynn, Plains Twp .; his son William Drums; and his daughter Jaimie, Wilkes-Barre; seven grandchildren; a great-grandson; Siblings, Robert Everett, Plains Twp .; Ann Everett Lepore, Wilkes-Barre; Thomas Everett, Plains Twp .; and Molly Everett Skrip, Wilkes-Barre.

A Christian burial mass takes place on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the SS. Peter and Paul Church, 13 Hudson Road, Plains Twp., With the celebrant Rev. John Lambert. Military honors are provided by the U.S. Army. Family and friends can call the church from 10 a.m. during service time.

In lieu of flowers, commemorative donations may be made in Williams Memorial to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
