SPOKANE, Wash — There will be several closures in observance of Labor Day on Monday, Sept. 5.

Spokane City Hall, Spokane Municipal Court and Spokane Public Library branches will all be closed.

Garbage pickup and curbside recycling will be a day late all week with Friday’s pickup occurring on Saturday, and parking meters will not require payments.

There will also be cancellations of specific services. My Spokane 311 employees will not be available, but people can access the 311 app and messages will receive responses after Labor Day. In addition, employees at the Development Services Center won’t be available for the holiday.

There are a few events happening that you may want to check out for the holiday! Spokane’s Pig Out in the Park has returned to Riverfront Park and will have several food booths and live music for people to enjoy. The Spokane Symphony is also holding a free Labor Day concert on Monday at 6 pm at Comstock Park.
