SEATTLE— The Western Oregon women’s soccer team lost to Seattle Pacific 2-1 Thursday night at Interbay Stadium.

The Wolves (4-2-1 overall, 1-2 GNAC) gave up a pair of goals in the opening 15 minutes – one in the sixth minute and another in the 15th – to fall behind the Falcons (4-2-1, 2-1).

WOU answered wit ha goal in the 21st minute on a goal from Savannah Taylor, but couldn’t find the equalizer over the final 69 minutes.

The Wolves were outshot 22-8 in the contest, including 9-4 on shots on goal. Briana Kubli and Erika Moreno-Gonzalez led the team with two shots apiece. Olivia Holdenried picked up seven saves for WOU in the contest.

The Wolves return to action Saturday at MSU Billings.
