WellHaven Pet Names Burns New Director of Veterinary Nurse Development

WellHaven Pet Health, a family of pet veterinary clinics headquartered in Vancouver, Washington, has announced that Kara M. Burns, MEd, MS, LVT, VTS (Nutrition) is joining WellHaven as Director of Veterinary Nurse Development. A small selection of Kara’s accomplishments include the Editor-in-Chief of Today’s Veterinary Nurse, Co-Author of Nutrition and Disease Management for Veterinary Technicians and Nurses and Textbook for the Veterinary Assistant, President Pet Nutrition Alliance, Founder and Past President of the Academy of Veterinary Nutrition Technicians, and past president of the National Association of Veterinary Technicians in America (NAVTA).

Jenni Jones, WellHaven CEO said this is another step in WellHaven Pet Health’s ongoing mission to empower, appoint, and honor veterinary nurses / technicians and team members.
