Victim identified in murder in Kenton neighborhood

The victim in the Kenton Neighborhood shooting was identified as Michael Arrington, 53, of Vancouver, Washington.

The Oregon State Medical Examiner’s Office performed an autopsy on Mr. Arrington and found that he died of a gunshot wound and labeled his death a murder.

Mr Arrington’s family has been notified and has provided the attached photo. The family asks for privacy.

A victim has died after a shooting in the Kenton neighborhood.

At 4:34 a.m. on Wednesday, March 31, 2021, North Precinct officials responded to a report of a person shot dead in a supermarket on the 1900 block of North Lombard Street. When the officers arrived, they found a victim with gunshot-related injuries. Paramedics from Portland Fire and Rescue and American Medical Response attempted life-saving measures. The victim was taken to the hospital where he died. The victim, a grown man, was believed to be a customer of the supermarket.
