Through Thanksgiving, TSA expects the busiest times for security checks to be from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
SPOKANE, Wash – If you fly out for Thanksgiving this week, you should be at the airport earlier than usual.
TSA is preparing for a passenger volume of around two million nationwide by Thanksgiving Day. It is expected that Sunday could be the busiest single travel day of the year.
But through Thanksgiving, the TSA expects the busiest times for the security check to be 6am to 11am and 2pm to 4pm to come through the screening.
Most flights board around 30 to 45 minutes before their scheduled departure time.

“Spokane is great,” said Matias. “I’ve driven through it before, but it’s a cute city.”
However, Matias travels clever. She booked a flight home outside of the main travel times. So she won’t have much difficulty getting through the airport.
“When I arrive it is usually an hour,” said Matias. “I usually get on last, so an hour is enough.”
Despite the expected increase in travelers at peak times, the TSA claims to have enough staff available to ensure the most efficient control for all passengers. In fact, the TSA reported Monday that 93% of its employees are complying with vaccine and exemption regulations.

Spokane International Airport also reminds passengers to wear masks at the airport or on the plane.
In addition, the GEG has reopened the Economy and C-Concourse car parks for daily use in order to create additional parking spaces for vacation trips.
Parking on the Economy Parking Lot on McFarlane Road is $ 5.00 / day. A free shuttle service is available approximately every 15 minutes from the Economy Parking Lot to the airport terminal.
The C Concourse car park, located near Terminal C Concourse, has also reopened. Its price is $ 6.00 / day.
