Two were injured in an accident involving three cars on Highway 500 near Proebstel on Wednesday

According to the Washington State Patrol, two people were injured in a collision with three cars on State Highway 500 near Proebstel on Wednesday.

The crash occurred shortly before 4 p.m. near the intersection of the freeway and Northeast 65th Street, according to a State Patrol bulletin.

In the Bulletin states Bradley A. Thompson (32) from Vancouver was traveling on the highway to the east, as the traffic slowed down before him, and he had his 2014er Isuzu van against the rear of a 2004 by Charles E. Ramsey ( 60) driven Chevrolet Silverado pickups. from Vancouver and then into an oncoming 2000 Chevrolet S10 pickup owned by Rafael N. Casillas, 61, of Vancouver.

Casillas was injured in the crash and, according to the bulletin, was transported to the PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. Thompson was also injured but not transported.

The state patrol blamed the inattentiveness for the crash and said no drugs or alcohol were involved.
