Union High School, 6201 NW Friberg-Strunk St., Camas, presents “Shrek the Musical,” the Broadway adaptation of the films starring a loveable green ogre, on Friday, Saturday and January 21 at 7 p.m. and January 21 at 7 p.m 14 o’clock. 22. Friends of Trees and the City of Vancouver need volunteers to plant 6- to 10-foot trees in downtown Vancouver neighborhoods at 9 a.m. Saturday. Volunteers should arrive at Evergreen Bible Church, 9600 E. Mill Plain Blvd., Vancouver at 8:45 a.m. for registration before heading to the planting site. The Portland Boat Show runs through Sunday at the Portland Expo Center, 2060 N. Marine Drive, Portland. The opening hours are today and Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; 10am to 8pm Saturday; and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Shop fishing boats, yachts, cruisers, sport fishermen and kayaks as well as electronics and accessories, propellers, boat turrets and boat trailers. Martin Luther King Jr. Day is a national day of service. Join volunteers at the corner of MacArthur Boulevard and North Blandford Drive in Vancouver Monday at 9:30 a.m. to help the Watershed Alliance remove invasive English ivy from Blandford Canyon. Dress warmly with long trousers, closed shoes and a mask. Tools and gloves are provided. Requires some strenuous physical activity.
