Transit Service, Garbage Pickup Suspended In Everett, WA Due To Weather

The weather is causing issues in Everett, Washington this morning. We will post updates as we hear of things here:

  • 8:00 AM update from City of Everett: – Consistent low temps made it difficult to dissolve ice and compact snow. As a result, we focused on sanding stop areas at intersections and hills instead of plowing.

    Stats:
    – 110 yards of sand/salt applied
    – plowed 5 miles,

  • 6:30 AM: Due to unsafe road conditions all Everett Transit routes and services are temporarily suspended until 8:00 AM, this service suspension includes Everett Para Transit. Everett Transit staff will continue closely monitoring roads for snow and ice, and service will begin as soon as conditions allow.

  • For Rubatino Refuse Customers in Everett: Due to continued severe road conditions, the decision not to run any routes today was made. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. We will take double for you on your next scheduled service day when road conditions allow. Safety of the public, our customers and the drivers is our number one priority.
  • Community Transit issued the following alert: Until further notice, ALL Community Transit bus service is suspended due to hazardous road conditions. There will be no service to Seattle or within Snohomish County.
We monitor road conditions hourly and hope to add service as soon as it is safe for our riders and employees. Stay warm, stay safe!
