SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. – The principal of Spokane Valley’s Summit School made a deal with his students and their families: raise money for school projects and he’ll spend the day on the roof.

On Tuesday, Mr Clemons held up his end of the deal.

“We have a lot of things we do here that take us out of the building, that cost money, and our parent group comes together and creates a fundraiser. So, we had a ‘fun run’ and they set a goal for $50,000. I told the kids that I didn’t think they could make $50,000 and if they made it, I would spend the day on the roof,” Clemons said. “And they blew us out of the water. They easily surpassed our goal. They were right and I was wrong.”

The Wolf Pups ended up raising $60,000. That money will fund things like trips to the Hiawatha Evergreens in Shelton, activities in Post Falls and even a trip to Green Bluff.
