SPOKANE, Wash. — A family-friendly and fun Lunar New Year celebration taking place at Shadle Park Library Saturday, Jan. 14.
The event will include story time for kids, dancing performances, and cooking demonstrations.
The Lunar New Year, also known as Spring Festival, takes place on January 22 and goes on for 15 days. It’s considered the most important holiday in China and this year is celebrated as the Year of the Rabbit.

Saturday, January 14, 2023 Shadle Park Library | 2111 W. Wellesley Ave.- 10am: Lunar New Year Storytime and Activities
- 11am: Dragon Dance Performance and Lesson
- 12pm: Dumpling Cooking Demonstration
- 1pm: Sushi making demonstration
