Spokane police arrest second suspect in connection with Monday night’s shooting | news

Spokane police have arrested a second suspect in connection with the fatal shooting of 20-year-old Gabriel Casper.

Detectives and the Spokane police issued a search warrant in the Spokane Valley on Tuesday and arrested 23-year-old Dennen TG Fitterer-Usher.

Fitterer-Usher, a resident of Liberty Lake, is now registered with Holmberg in the Spokane County Jail awaiting extradition to Idaho.

Coeur d’Alene police arrested a man on Monday evening in connection with the shooting of a 20-year-old man.

The CDA police arrested 19-year-old Matthew Holmberg on Monday afternoon.

Holmberg is being held in Spokane County Jail.

CDA police said this is an active investigation and no further information will be released.

Coeur d’Alene police have confirmed that a 20-year-old man was shot dead on Monday evening.

According to police, it happened on 23rd Avenue and Coeur d’Alene Street, north of Sherman Avenue. The victim was taken to Kootenai Health, where he later died.

Friends and family have identified the victim as Gabe Casper, although police or the Coeur d’Alene Coroner have not confirmed it.

Police would only say that the investigation is active and that there will be no further information about the shooting at this point.

Coeur d’Alene Police are currently investigating after finding an injured man in the middle of the street near N. 23rd Street and Coeur d’Alene Avenue. The police have not yet announced how he was injured, the investigation is ongoing.

The man was taken to Kootenai Health for medical treatment.

At this point the streets will be open again after being temporarily closed. The police do not believe that there is any danger to the population.
