Spokane International Airport to run full scale emergency exercise on Wednesday

SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane International Airport will do a full scale emergency exercise on Wednesday.

The exercise allows first responders the chance to practice the Airport’s Emergency Response Plan as well as working with external agencies in the case of an emergency.

It will take place from 9 am to noon. The exercise is expected to begin at around 9:30 am A number of people volunteered to be “victims” to provide first responders with different simulated injuries or conditions.

The Federal Aviation Administration requires the Spokane International Airport to stage a full-scale exercise like the one on Wednesday once every three years.
