SPOKANE, Wash. — The Spokane County Board of Commissioners has adopted a balanced budget for 2023.
The Board had three public hearings before they adopted the budget.
Highlights from the budget include adding detectives and positions to the Spokane County Sheriff’s Department, along with funding to improve the Spokane Fair & Expo, Public Works, and Spokane County Parks like the Liberty Lake Regional Park and Bear Lake Regional Park.
Commissioners worked with the budget staff to maximize taxpayer dollars from the county. The budget does not take the one percent property tax increase for 2023.
