Shocking footage of a mother pointing a gun at a group of black teenagers went viral after the argument at a Washington mall.

Vancouver Police were called to the Vancouver Mall on June 9 after the woman who was at the mall with her family waved the gun at the young shoppers.

Footage from the scene shows the mother standing in one of the stores and pointing the gun at the teenagers who hear them screaming from across the sidewalk while mall security appears to be trying to defuse the situation.

According to The Colombian, per Newsweek, the two families reportedly have a history of public disputes, and the mother allegedly allegedly told law enforcement that she used the gun to “protect her daughters.”

Videos from the scene have been shared on social media since the argument, with TikTok user Theo noticing a shopper casually walking past the mom while she wielded the gun.

Theo, who uses the TikTok handle @ devils_lettuce21, told Newsweek that he was “shocked” at the sight of the gun and said he had never before seen such a gun pulled in public.

He remarked, “Nobody knows what the person with the gun is capable of.”

Noting that the woman who was aiming the gun was white, the TikToker stated that it feared the scene was “a racially motivated activity” before learning of the history of the hostilities between the two families.

Theo also drew attention to the man walking past the woman as she held the gun, saying it was “crazy” how unimpressed he was and that this indicates how “gun violence is normalized”.

A Vancouver Police Department spokesman has confirmed that no one was injured during the dispute and that the woman’s gun should be unloaded at the time of the incident.

Following the events, the Vancouver Mall issued a statement stating that the mall’s security responded within 20 seconds of the gun being displayed and that the mall “worked closely with local law enforcement to investigate the To support incident ”. . ‘
