Seattle Promise Scholarship App Process Open

Youth looking for a great opportunity to take their future education seriously, the Seattle Promise Scholarship is now open to apply. The deadline for submitting an application is February 17, 2023. Once enrolled in the program, students will attend two events – Readiness Academy and Summer Bridge. The Readiness Academy is a one-day event held in May (or June). Students can meet and connect with Seattle Promise peers and get help registering for classes. Summer Bridge helps students learn about campus life and introduce them to instructors, staff, and resources.

The information surrounding the scholarship states that Promising Future: Scholarship offers students a free path to higher education. The Seattle Promise Scholarship increases access to college for students, particularly those from underrepresented groups. The scholarship is open to all SPS graduates and provides up to two years or 90 credits of tuition at Seattle Central College, North Seattle College, or South Seattle College.

The information also states that all SPS graduates are eligible to apply for the Seattle Promise Scholarship, regardless of GPA, income, ability, or country of birth. Students not only get help with tuition, there is also help with other school-related expenses such as books, childcare, food, housing, and transportation is also available.

An even more incredible part of the program is that students have access to year-round support services to help them succeed, including advising, transfer assistance, and long-term career planning. To learn more about how to apply, families can attend one of several upcoming application workshops.
