MISSING: Seattle Police searching for 8-year-old with autism last seen in blue Hyundai Venue

Seattle Police are searching for a missing 8-year-old with autism last seen in a blue Hyundai Venue.

According to the AMBER Alert: “Mother exited the vehicle with the suspect still in the passenger seat. Suspect jumped into the driver’s seat, locked the doors, and drove southbound on Aurora Avenue North with the child in the back seat.”

Authorities said Kiya Matteson was last seen heading south in the 12200 block of Aurora Ave. N. in a blue 2022 Hyundai Venue with registered Washington license plate CCS7881. Authorities say the registered plate is NOT attached to the vehicle and that it has a temporary tag. The vehicle also has damage to the front passenger hood and rear bumper.

Police said Kiya is described as 4′ tall, about 40 pounds, with blonde hair and blue eyes, last seen wearing purple pajamas. No photo was immediately available.

She was last seen with a black male, 5′ 10″, with afro-style hair, last seen wearing a white t-shirt.
