Seattle massage parlor shooting leaves 1 employee wounded; robbery suspects flee: reports

A manhunt for two suspects was reportedly underway in Seattle late Thursday night after a massage parlor was shot during a robbery.

The shooting left a man of Asian descent with non-life threatening wounds, reports say.

The victim is said to have been an employee of the South Bay Massage and Spa in the Skyway neighborhood, reported Q13 FOX from Seattle. He was taken to a hospital for medical treatment, the report said.

The robbery attempt occurred around 9 p.m. It was unclear whether the suspects got away with cash or items from the store.

The robbery and shooting came the day after a man was shot dead in a church in south Seattle. In this case, too, a suspect remained at large.

The incident also occurred two nights after eight people died in a rampage at three massage parlors in the Atlanta area.

A 21-year-old suspect named Robert Aaron Long was arrested in connection with the Georgia shootings.

The gunfights in the Atlanta area drew attention to crimes against Americans from Asia, which several cities have reported increasing in recent weeks.
