Seattle Kraken Announce Preseason Schedule for Inaugural Season – Seattle Thunderbirds

The schedule includes “home games” in Spokane, Everett and Kent against the Canucks, the Oilers and the Flames

SEATTLE, Washington, July 9, 2021– The Seattle Kraken today announce the preseason schedule for their first NHL season, with the team playing home and away games against the Vancouver Canucks, Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames. The games will be played between September 26 and October 5, and the three “home games” will be played in arenas across the state as follows:

Friday, Oct. 1, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. PT – Seattle Kraken vs. Edmonton Oilers @ Everett [Angel of the Winds Arena]
Saturday, October 2, 2021 at 7:00 p.m. PT – Seattle Kraken vs. Calgary Flames @ Kent [accesso ShoWare Center]

This gives us the opportunity to work with the WHL teams, celebrate hockey in our region and expand this beautiful game. Tickets for each game are sold by each and every WHL team. The Seattle Kraken will donate a portion of the ticket proceeds to the One Roof Foundation with the goal of raising over $ 500,000 to expand young people’s access to hockey. The Kraken is partnering with the Thunderbirds, Silvertips, and Chiefs along with the Tri-City Americans and Portland Winterhawks to expand the game across the region.

Tickets will go on sale to the general public on July 16 at 12 noon via angelofthewindsarena.com for Everett, seattlethunderbirds.com for Kent and ticketswest.com for Spokane.

The Seattle Kraken’s July 21 Expansion Draft takes place in 12 days, followed by the NHL Entry Draft July 23-24. The puck will fall for the team’s first season at the Climate Pledge Arena in October.

About the Everett Silvertips
As a member of the Western Hockey League since 2003-04, the Everett Silvertips compete on home ice at the 8,149-seat Angel of the Winds Arena in downtown Everett, helped 20 players play in the National Hockey League, have 27 players selected by teams in the NHL Entry Draft and dispatched over 60 players to compete in international competitions.
