Seattle Kraken and Oak View Group Announce Partnership with Molson Coors

SEATTLE, March 10, 2021 / PRNewswire / – Seattle Kraken and Oak View Group (OVG) today announced Coors Light as the official domestic beer partner and Hop Valley Brewing Company as the official craft beer partner of the team and the Climate Pledge Arena. The partnership, geared towards fan engagement, offers guests throughout the arena both frost-brewed Coors light and local Hop Valley drinks.

The partnership includes two Coors Light-branded bars in the Climate Pledge Arena, in-game and community fan activations, and Coors Light’s state-of-the-art Silver Seats, including cup holders with Coldr ™ technology that ensure that last sip of beer is colder than that is first. The bars will be a prime destination for fans to indulge in the brand and purchase products from Coors and Hop Valley Brewing Company. While the partnership gives Molson Coors national dynamism, local ties to the Pacific Northwest are deeply rooted.

The branded bars will feature art murals inspired by Kraken and Climate Pledge Arena Seattle Artists, Jeff Jacobson also known as weirdo. As a former Coors employee, Weirdo will create art in his unique style that captures both the spirit of the Pacific Northwest and the Coors brand and visually brings the partnership to life. In addition, Hop Valley Brewing, a growing craft brewery based in Eugene, Oregon, will source hops from a local farm in Yakima, Washington.

Molson Coors is a leader in innovation and sustainability in the beverage industry and promoted one of the first consumer recycling campaigns in 1970. As a staple in the arena, the ongoing commitment to space is in line with the Seattle Kraken and Climate Pledge sustainability goals, and the arena, which will be the world’s first net zero carbon arena, is slated to open in fall 2021.

“We are no stranger to the adventures and thrills of the great outdoors and the mountains and we are delighted to share this with our partner Molson Coors,” he said Death of Leiweke, CEO of the Seattle Kraken. “The Coors Light Bars in the Climate Pledge Arena will be the embodiment of the Pacific Northwest and the team. We look forward to bringing them to life as a place for fans to gather and cheer for the Kraken.”

“The Climate Pledge Arena is the ideal place to expand Coors Light’s already impressive presence in Seattle, “said Chris Steele, Director of Marketing at Molson Coors. “We look forward to giving fans the opportunity to enjoy NHL games and live concerts from different angles of the arena. The most unique part of this opportunity, however, lies in Climate Pledge Arena’s strict commitment to sustainability with goals that complement Coors.” Light’s own plans for the future. We are proud to partner with Kraken and Oak View Group to open the world’s first Zero Carbon arena. “

The Seattle Kraken will play their inaugural season at the Climate Pledge Arena from 2021 to 2022.
