Seahawks Get Promising News With Gerald Everett Update

With a brief week of rest and upcoming football action against the Los Angeles Rams on Thursday night, the Seattle Seahawks were concerned about missing Gerald Everett for a second straight week. Fortunately, head coach Pete Carroll shared a promising update on the tight end of Seattle’s first year.

Everett missed the promotion in week 4 after testing positive for COVID-19. However, Everett gave his first negative test on Monday.

The league requires multiple COVID-19 negative tests to ensure Everett’s availability for Thursday, but Carroll is encouraged by the latest update.

“At this point we say that there is an opportunity. He had a good report today, but tomorrow’s report really is the crucial one … if he has a chance. “

It looks like Everett is headed for a return right now in Week 5, which is welcome news for Seattle. In the first three weeks, Everett did exactly what the Seahawks hoped when they signed him last off-season.

The fifth year pro acts as a solid third reception option behind DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, scoring 8 receptions on 9 goals for 77 yards and a touchdown in three games.
