Gladstone, Oregon, top of Jennings Lodge Ridge (5.5 km ESE of epicenter) [Map] / Very weak shaking (MMI II) / single vertical bump / 1-2 s : Heard loud boom, thought it was a sonic boom or a large ball hit the house, windows rattled. Lasted a few seconds.

Oregon City (11.2 km SE of epicenter) [Map] / Very weak shaking (MMI II) / very short : One-thud. Just like a door slamming hard on the opposite end of the house. Didn’t feel any shaking, but the thud resonated in the whole house. Very audible, dull thud.

Alert Bay BC / Weak shaking (MMI III) / vibration and rolling / 2-5 s : I live on the Northern tip of Vancouver Island, I usually feel an earthquake before it happens. I felt a strong vibration so I quickly went outside and I heard an owl and a few Ravens. And my dog was looking up and she never does that.

West Linn / weak shaking (MMI III) / single vertical bump / very short : Felt like a large tree fell. Hoyse rattled a bit and all the dogs in the neighborhood started barking. Went outside to investigate and everyone down the block was coming out.
