Pop-up vaccination clinic held in Seattle’s Greenwood neighborhood – KIRO 7 News Seattle

SEATTLE – The city of Seattle is hosting a vaccination pop-up clinic in the Greenwood neighborhood on Saturday.

The vaccination clinic is located outside the Flying Bike Cooperative Brewery at 8570 Greenwood Ave. N. and is a partnership between the city, the Phinney Neighborhood Association and Bluebird Ice Cream.

The clinic is open from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and all three vaccines will be available.

“With nearly 75% of residents starting the vaccination process over the age of 12, we are changing our approach to reach people who have not yet had access to this life-saving vaccine. Seattle is bringing the vaccine straight to communities, removing as many barriers to vaccination as possible, ”said Mayor Jenny Durkan. “Our brewery and business district pop-up clinics have been an incredible success, and we’ve managed to reach hundreds of Seattle residents who may not even have planned to get vaccinated. I encourage anyone in need of either their first or second dose of vaccine to come to Greenwood this Saturday and help us move forward on the road to recovery. ”

The second dose will also be available with evidence of a first vaccination.

The mayor’s office said more than 210,000 vaccinations have been given to adults since the vaccination effort began in mid-January.

“These vaccinations were given in 88 adult family homes, 90 affordable residential buildings with seniors and people with disabilities, 24 pop-ups, 20 permanent supportive residential buildings, two vulnerable youth organizations, city sporting events, and the four city facilities vaccination centers. “
