Everett Police Traffic Safety Unit detectives were called on Saturday morning to investigate a personal injury accident on the 200 block on West Casino Road.

EPD Public Information Officer Kerby Duncan tells MyEverettNews.com that initial reports are just after 7 a.m. that a red Honda and a silver Toyota Tacoma were driving east at the casino when the Honda lost control and got into the truck that took him to the western country, where he hit head-on with a Lexus.

The Lexus driver was trapped in his vehicle and Everett’s firefighters had to use multiple rescue tools to rescue a person who was being rushed to Providence Regional Medical Center by a paramedic unit.

The Honda driver allegedly ran away from the crime scene on foot.

All lanes of the casino to the west were closed until shortly before 11 a.m. while traffic detectives were investigating the crime scene.

Anyone with information about the accident or the runaway driver is asked to call the Everett Police Tip Line at 425-257-8450.
