Grant County Circuit Court

Jared J. Baker, 25, pleaded guilty on April 15 for delivering alcohol to a person under the age of 21. He was fined $ 440.

Brady K. Burch, 23, pleaded guilty on April 15. He was threatened with fourth degree assault and domestic violence on December 30th. Both were sentenced on December 30 to 30 days in prison and 36 months in bank probation, 80 hours of community service, and sentenced to pay fines and fees of $ 600. Counts of strangulation, pointing one gun at another, and harassment were dismissed.

Steven M. Warrington, 31, pleaded guilty on April 15th for being suspended or revoked on December 15th. He was sentenced to 30 days in prison, 18 months’ probation, and 40 hours of community service.

Charlotte Dougharity, 75, of Mt. Vernon has been charged with violating the 74/55 zone rule.

Bradley Jones, 29, of Redmond, was charged with violating the Core Rule, Zone 85/65.

Svetlana Izotov, 21, Vancouver, Washington, was charged with breaching the Core Rule, Zone 71/55.

John Day’s 25-year-old Dakoda Cazier has been charged with offensive litter.

Grant County Judicial Court

Driving uninsured: Thomas E. Pfeifer, 51, Prairie City, Nov. 26, fined $ 135.

Thomas E. Pfeifer pleaded guilty on April 5 while in suspension. He was sentenced to 15 days in prison, 18 months probation, and 20 hours of community service, and was fined $ 2,460. The fines can be waived after successful completion of the probationary period.

Oregon State Police

April 4: A soldier was stopped at the side of Laycock Creek Road near Milepost 2. The soldier heard what sounded like a high-speed motorcycle engine and was approaching from the north. The motorcycle came over a hill with no visibility. Also, the sidewalk ends on the right side of the lane and immediately turns into loose gravel. With the rear radar, the soldier reached a speed of 95 miles per hour. The motorcycle braked quickly. The soldier stopped the motorcycle and contacted the driver, Connor M. White, 19. The soldier arrested White for reckless driving. After the arrest, White informed the soldier that he was riding with only one hand and that his other hand was on his hip. Frontier Towing responded and removed the motorcycle. The soldier took White to Grant County Jail where he was staying and issued quotes for reckless driving and accelerating in Zone 95/55. Upon reviewing the soldier’s body camera footage that was recording the radar reading, the soldier found that the motorcycle’s top speed was in fact 97 mph.

April 6: A traffic obstruction was carried out on a vehicle heading west to increase speed. Tristin S. Brannon, 26, has been cited for violating the basic rule of failing to maintain insurance and drive while in suspension. The passenger in the back seat, Jubal L. Wheeldon, 32, was arrested on multiple arrest warrants.

April 9: A state soldier responded to a report of a vehicle crashed in a creek near milestone 94 on Highway 26. When the soldier arrived, driver Leo R. Placencia, 76, was treated by medical personnel. Placencia was taken to Blue Mountain Hospital for treatment. Frontier Towing responded and removed the vehicle from the creek. During the medical treatment, the BMH staff took a blood sample and analyzed it. Hospital staff said that Placencia’s blood alcohol level was 0.15%. When the soldier arrived at the hospital, Placencia had been released. OSP contacted Placencia at his residence and gave him a quote for driving under the influence of intoxicants and reckless driving.

April 10: A soldier stopped a vehicle at Milepost 174 on Highway 26 because of a speeding violation. As the soldier approached the vehicle, the driver changed seats with the passenger. The driver admitted to having switched and said the woman had told him. The soldier smelled faintly of burned marijuana. The soldier asked driver John A. Lee, 60, of South Lake Tahoe, Calif. When he last smoked marijuana, and he told the soldier a few hours earlier. Lee had glassy, ​​bloodshot eyes and drooping eyelids. Lee agreed to conduct sobriety tests on site, which the soldier saw further signs of impairment. The soldier arrested Lee and took him to Grant County Jail. The licensed passenger took possession of the vehicle. Lee provided a sample with a blood alcohol content of 0.00%. Lee provided a urine sample but refused to take a DRE assessment. OSP issued Lee a quote for DUII-controlled substances and put him in jail.

April 14: OSP investigates a rollover of a single motor vehicle with minor injuries on Highway 26 near milestone 142. The single occupant, a 17-year-old driver, dodged to avoid colliding with a deer and lost the Control of the vehicle. The vehicle left the lane in an easterly direction, rolled several times and came to rest on the driver’s side. It pointed north. The vehicle was towed to an adjacent property. The driver suffered only minor abrasions and refused medical treatment.
